Folktales from Around the World
was created by 14 children in the 3rd and 4th grades of the Thomas
Gardner School in Allston. It was created in collaboration with
local artist Clara
Wainwright and the DeCordova
Museum. It is on permanent display at the Honan-Allston Branch.
Each child selected a folktale from their country of origin to illustrate
the body of the quilt. In addition there are self-portrait panels
of each child around the edge of the quilt.
