DISTINCTIVE ASPECTS OF THE COLLECTION
The Fields Corner branch has a growing collection of Vietnamese materials — including books, DVDs, CDs, and magazines. In addition to strong children’s and teen fiction collections, there are also a wide variety best-sellers, urban fiction, romances, mysteries, and classics available. The audiovisual collection features a large selection of popular DVDs, audiobooks, and music CDs. The branch also maintains a Sherlock Holmes collection.

RECURRING PROGRAMMING OFFERED
Preschool Films and Fun, a series of alternating story time and film programs for children under the age of 6, is offered every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. year-round. Computer skills workshops for adults are offered every week and by appointment. Special programs and workshops are offered throughout the year for families with young children. Please consult the events calendar for additional programs.

SPECIAL PROGRAMMING OFFERED
At the Fields Corner Branch, summer reading programs are offered as well as a variety of special programming for children and teens. A Vietnamese preschool book club meets on alternating Saturdays, when in session. Please contact the library for more information about these programs.

HISTORY
The Fields Corner Branch opened in 1969. It was the successor to the old Dorchester Branch, which was also located in Fields Corner.
