Support the Library

There are many ways to contribute to the Boston Public Library. Help keep our programs and services "Free to All." We accept donations through several fundraising groups.

iconAssociates of the Boston Public Library The Associates of the Boston Public Library is an independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to conserving the Boston Public Library's special collections of rare books, manuscripts, and other items of significant historic interest. The Associates is working to ensure continued public access to these irreplaceable treasures by underwriting their conservation, cataloging, digitization, and exhibition.

Boston Public Library Foundation The mission of the Boston Public Library Foundation is to enhance the public visibility of and to raise public and private funds for the revitalization of the Boston Public Library.

Branch Library Friends Groups Most branches of the Boston Public Library have their own friends group. To get involved with particular branch's friends group, contact that branch library.
