Beginning on September 25, we are once again offering a six-week series of classes that will provide an overview of genealogy research resources at the Boston Public Library. The series will feature classes led by our genealogy specialist and speakers from other departments including the Norman B. Leventhal Map & Education Center. The schedule is as follows:
- Week 1, 9/25- Introduction to Genealogy
- Week 2, 10/2- Databases and Websites
- Week 3, 10/9- Newspapers and Other Print Resources
- Week 4, 10/16- Government Resources
- Week 5, 10/23- Maps and Home Research
- Week 6, 10/30- Tying It All Together
All sessions run from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. and will be held at the Community Learning Center Classroom, Mezzanine Level, Johnson Building. Those that are interested are encouraged but not required to attend all of the sessions.
