Military records can offer a fuller picture of an ancestor’s life. As largely government produced records, they are also easily accessible if you know where to look. In two upcoming classes held Tuesday, April 9th and Tuesday April 16th at 1p.m., we will provide a basic overview in how to use military records for general genealogical research. The first class will have a special focus on the Revolutionary War, and the second class will focus on the Civil War.
Whether you’re looking to join a lineage society like the Daughters of the American Revolution or you’re just curious, these classes will hopefully provide a jumping off point to either begin or continue your research into your ancestors.
Basic computer and internet skills are required.
