Central Library Community Rooms
A community room is available to 501(c) non-profit organizations holding meetings that are free and open to the public based on our policies and procedures listed on the left.
A community room may be requested up to 90-days in advance, and are granted on a first come first serve basis. No organization may use the Library as its primary meeting location. Please fill out and submit an application. All requests should be submitted at least 4 weeks prior to the meeting date. Featuring a tiled ceiling built by master-craftsman Rafael Guastavino and windows overlooking Blagden Street, this conference room located on the 1st floor of the McKim Building, can accommodate lecture seating for up to 60 attendees, or classroom seating for up to 32 attendees. Library furniture is included with the rental of this space. Organizers must provide their own laptop and adapter for HDMI cord if required for the program.
Located on the 1st floor of the McKim Building, the Commonwealth Salon is the ideal space for community meetings. This bright space, with windows overlooking Boylston Street, has the capacity to seat 80 attendees lecture style, a podium, riser and built in sound system. Organizers must provide their own laptop and adapter for HDMI cord if required for the program.
