Angela Veizaga is the Chief of Youth & Family Engagement at the Boston Public Library, where she leads youth services across the library system and its neighborhoods. Her focus includes community outreach, educational initiatives, early literacy programs, workforce development for teens, academic support, web-based content, and services for children, teens, caregivers, and families.

With over ten years of experience in public libraries, Angela began her career as the Teen Librarian at the Boston Public Library’s East Boston and Mattapan branches. She later became the System-wide Youth Programs Librarian, managing and curating youth programs for all 25 library branches. Angela then served as the Assistant Manager of Youth Services, overseeing youth programs alongside the Manager of Youth Services. As Director of Strategic Partnerships, Angela acted as the liaison between the library and various affiliates, including the Boston Public Library Fund, the Associates, the Norman B. Leventhal Map & Education Center, City-wide Friends, and numerous Boston-based organizations and city agencies.

Angela holds a master’s degree in Library & Information Science from Simmons University and a B.A. in English/Art History from George Washington University.
