Miss visiting the library? We are excited to share a new video highlighting some of the key design features of our 1895 McKim Building at the Central Library in Copley Square. This informal walk through tour includes an inside look at spaces including our beloved lobby, the Abbey Room, the Sargent Gallery, the courtyard, and of course, the iconic Bates Hall.
This piece was produced entirely by BPL staff in between other projects this winter. To get a behind-the-scenes look at how this video was made, as well as our takeaways from the project, check out our latest blog post, On Tape: Highlights of the McKim Building, opens a new window.
We look forward to restarting live tours with our group of dedicated volunteer guides once it is safe to do so, but hope you enjoy this glimpse into the spaces we’ve all been missing over the past year.
