Resources for Youth Experiencing Housing Insecurity
Breaktime – Through transitional employment and financial empowerment, Breaktime works to break down barriers to job security, financial security, and ultimately housing security.
Bridge Over Troubled Waters – If you are ages 14-24, BOTW provides breakfast and lunch, showers, GED classes, job counseling and training, medical and dental checkups, transitional housing, and someone to talk to. If you are a runaway, please call 1-800-RUNAWAY.
More Than Words – Provides empowering leadership and supportive employment opportunities for youth who are in foster care, court-involved, homeless, or out of school, to prepare them for self-sufficiency as they transition to adulthood.
Sydney Borum Jr. Health Center – A program of Fenway Health that provides safe, non-judgmental care for young people ages 12-29 who may not feel comfortable going anywhere else. No one is turned away – they’ll do whatever it takes to help.
Youth on Fire – Located in Harvard Square, Cambridge, Youth on Fire is a drop-in center for housing insecure and street-involved youth ages 14-24.
Youth Options Unlimited – Boston’s youth re-entry program providing a broad range of services to court-involved youth ages 14-24
